Piano Summer in Geilenkirchen

In the second half of July, the city of Geilenkirchen transforms into a hub for the Piano Summer and the international piano scene. During these days, all interested parties can fully enjoy the pleasure of high-quality piano music.

The highlights of the event week are the international piano competitions, the Euregio Piano Award and the Young Euregio Piano Award. Pianists from around the world come to Geilenkirchen to compete in front of an internationally renowned jury.

Further details are available in German through this link: Geilenkirchener Klaviersommer.

Piano Duo Xin Wang & Florian Koltun

The Aachen-based pianist Florian Koltun and the Chinese pianist Xin Wang, both of whom have received multiple awards, have joined forces. Since then, they have regularly performed on major concert stages in Europe and Asia.

In addition to performing, Xin Wang is highly valued as an educator. She teaches as a guest lecturer at various music conservatories and universities in China and regularly conducts masterclasses in Europe and Asia.

Call to the Business Community

Although the Geilenkirchen Piano Summer has a long-standing tradition, promoting the event series is a guarantee for synergy effects in our city. Retailers and the hospitality sector can benefit from the event series.

Decorate your shop windows and offer your visitors a Piano Summer special. Whether it's a Piano Summer discount or a daily menu titled 'Piano Summer Plate,' there are no limits to creativity.

The business community has the opportunity again this year to request promotional materials for the Piano Summer from the City of Geilenkirchen. Depending on your needs and interests, the staff of the Cultural Office will be happy to advise you. In addition to posters, flyers, old sheet music, composer images, and balloons, decorative pianos are also available.

Please contact Ms. Roswitha Beckers at 02451/629413 between July 1 and July 5, 2024, to discuss your needs and possibilities.
