Teverener Heide

This enclosed forest and heath area, covering approximately 10 square kilometers, is highly valued by naturalists not only for its unique natural landscape with extremely rare plants but also for its archaeological significance due to major finds from the Middle Stone Age.

The Teverener Heide has long held a prominent place in archaeological literature due to its importance for Stone Age research.

Wurmtal

The Wurmtal inspires tours past water castles, castle ruins, and water mills. Another option is to take a trip from village to village. Discover the charming villages, some of which have won gold, silver, or bronze medals in the competition "Our Village Should Be More Beautiful."

Wurmauenpark is a green space in the heart of Geilenkirchen that is currently being redesigned. Additionally, some of Geilenkirchen’s regular events are held in Wurmauenpark.
